One of the suggestions we were given by our good friends at <a href="http://www.atlantasky.com/">Atlanta Sky</a> was to start blogging about our products to create a BUZZ. I personally love to write but don't have the motivation to kick me in the butt and MAKE ME WRITE. So every week I'm giving myself a reminder/alarm to do just that. I wish I could make the alarm scream at me "HEY SARAH WRITE YOUR BLOG NOW!"<br /><br />The whole process of doing an e-commerce website for printing was quite amazing and pretty frustrating for Jay and I at times. Originally we had a web designer do it for us back in 2001 due to the fact that I went to school for Graphic Design (making clients look good on paper) and never learned the whole process of Web Design or HTML or SEO's or all the other technical stuff involved. Our old website was great and did get us the occasional orders, but we now offer so many more products than we did back in 2001 that it was definitely time for a overhaul. A BIG ONE.<br /><br />So after a couple weeks of researching how we were going to do a shopping cart and what products we would list we found Volusion. They had a great system where they set you up with a coach who walks you through what to do and where to put stuff. After 6 months of coaching and collection all the info we needed we now have a fully functioning e-commerce site <a href="http://www.satincards.com/">www.satincards.com</a>. A ton of blood, sweat and tears went into the designing of this site. My husband <a href="mailto:jay@satincards.com">Jay</a> was the mastermind behind all of it and I'm so extremely proud of him! He's now in the process of getting all the SEOs and Metatags in place and we're actually seeing our website get traffic. It's pretty amazing and scary at the same time. We haven't announced our BIG LAUNCH to our current database of customers as we're right now finishing up the little tweaks, but in the next week we will be sending out our newsletter and hope to get some feedback.<br /><br />My main goal with this blog is to show off or spotlight our products especially our # 1 seller <a href="http://www.satincards.com/">SATINCARDS</a>.
